Sometimes, when your dog is bored, it will usually look for things that it can use to keep itself busy. In the absence of that, it can opt for following you around.
This behavior, if continued for a long period of time can cause your dog to become very clingy. Once your dog has nothing else to do, it will follow you around. Usually, clingy Pomeranians crave more physical touch from their owners.
However, I ensure that my dog does not get too clingy to avoid separation anxiety. Find a balance between the two of you and help your dog stay alone when you are away without challenges.
