Resource Guarding

Ask “What’s the Matter?”
Anytime your Pomeranian begins to bark, tell her “good job”, after that ask her “what’s the matter?”
It is necessary you maintain a calm reaction in the situation. Your calmness will show your dog you are not bothered about whatever that is making her to bark.
Pair the “be quiet” command with a treat.
Command your dog to be quiet and show her a treat close to her nose. A lot of Pomeranians will immediately start trying to sniff or lick the treat. If she does, she will stop barking. If she stops barking, show her sign of application.
Require quiet time. Don’t give your puppy the treat right away.
If you are trying this technique for the first time, wait for about three seconds of quite time before you give the dog the treat. Your dog will learn from the quite time that she is rewarded for being quite and not for barking.
Keep increasing the quiet time
For the first few times, let your quiet time be three seconds or there about, before rewarding the dog. Increase the quite time to six seconds the next time. Make it nine seconds after sometimes. If you are brave, increase it to some minutes. You have to be patient to be able to get to the point of waiting for minutes.
However, this technique will go a long way to help you in stopping your Pomeranian from excessive barking.
The Invisible Wall Method Effective
STEP 1
Keep calm anytime your dog starts to bark. It is you duty to show your Pomeranian that the noise and other things that made her to start barking are not necessary. Do not raise your voice nor show any sign of frustration.
STEP 2
Put up an invisible wall step before your dog and stand still. Back whatever that is making her to bark, if you can. It may be another dog or a visitor. This action teachers your dog that you are not afraid of what is making her to bark.
STEP 3
Once you create the invisible wall, start to correct the behavior of your dog. Use any correction method of your choice to demonstrate to her that you are in control of the situation. You can make use of noise or a stern look to correct her. You can poke or tap her as well.
STEP 4
Be consistent in your correction training. Your Pomeranian dog may stop barking for some time, as a reaction to your corrective action and afterwards start barking again.
Continue to keep your invisible wall until she gets totally relaxed and come to understand that barking is wrong.
STEP 5
Appreciate and reward your Pomeranian immediately it calms down. Give her a treat, if you have one or show her physical affection as a reward for calming down. Anytime your dog starts barking, use the same method all over again.
